As a student, I take pride in my job roles. When looking for work, I make sure it is something that my studies can be applied to as well. I enjoy working while going to school because it gives me a chance to showcase projects from semesters ago to now! Here's some of my recent work since I've started college. You can find my skills, achievements, and what I've been involved in over the last 3 years that will follow my career path. My experiences mainly consist of digital skills and social media.
What initiated my journey to the digital world was my webmistress role for my sorority. I enjoyed capturing moments of my sisters, editing, highlighting our achievements, and sharing our story to others. After gaining some insight, I applied for a marketing specialist position in Canyon Lake, Texas at Holiday Inn's Hill Country Resort. At the resort, I enhanced our guests' experience by booking classes and events that they can attend. I moved on from Holiday Inn after getting the opportunity to work in my dream environment: a hair salon.
I worked at Jcpenney's salon, as a front desk receptionist in 2021. Thanks to Jcpenney, I was able to break into the world of hair. I learned hair terminology, customer service skills, and gained a deeper insight of the services offered. A year later, I had the opportunity to work at Bella Salon in Austin. Through my education, our owner decided to give me the role of a social media coordinator on top of my front desk job!
