Careers in Media Course –
Job Shadow at Culture ATX Salon

As part of my final grade in this class, I was required to complete a job shadow in a field that I was interested in pursuing to gain hands on experience. I chose to look into social media management at salons for a behind the scenes look at content planning, shooting, development, and more. For my final grade, I created a slideshow presentation to showcase what I learned and I also had the opportunity to produce a reel for the salon!

Web Design + Blogs (Student Projects)

Branda’s Kitchen

This blog was one of the first blogs that I designed and published in school. Branda’s Kitchen was created on WordPress. All the content is mine including pictures, logo, and copy-write.

My goal of the website was to provide easy, affordable, and deliciously healthy recipes made for young adults.

Branda’s Website

This website is one of my very first sites that I created in MC 4315 Web Design. I coded a personal website about myself using HTML and custom CSS to add design and make the site responsive.

All photos and design were created or taken by me.

Bella Salon ATX – Rebrand

In this project, I used Bootsrap to create a multi-media project. The website is entirely coded in HTML & CSS. All content is my original work including filming, photos, copy-write, etc.

Bella Salon is one of my previous social media roles. The point of this website was to rebrand Bella’s website with new content and brand identity palette.

Blended by Branda (Blenda)

In this project, I was given the creative freedom to have my own business website. This website was made with WordPress. All content is mine or from Shutterstock. Blenda was my business idea inspired by the smoothie and cafe shops while visiting Vietnam. I came up with the menu, put together the graphics, and edited the commercial for it.

HTML Form Project

“Eyelash Extension Consultation” is my HTML form website that includes two form elements (radio button and checkbox). This project tested my understanding of proper layout, spacing, visuals, and Bootstrap.

The purpose of this website is to have clients fill out an online consultation form instead of doing a traditional in-person consult for eyelash extensions.

Javascript Quiz App

I applied Javascript to the consultation project to determine the perfect set of lashes for the user. The header and photo results are edited by me.

**Photos are not my work.

Interactive Charting Project

Sustainable Salon is my report on ways Bella Salon reduces wasted through Green Circle Salons. I added a pie chart and a filtered data set.

All content and photos are mine.

Data is found through https://greencirclesalons.com/ and Bella Salon’s yearly report.

Rosie’s Network – Final Project

Rosie’s Network is my final project in my DMI Capstone course.
This website is for Rosie’s Network, a mobile app that is designed specifically for women to enter male-dominated industries.

The website includes features and a walkthrough that guides users.

I coded this website using Bootstrap. All content is designed by me. I used Canva for the app prototype and Pexels for the Youtube video.

Social Media + Analytics Report

Client Portfolio

As a student social media contributor for The Alumni Association at Texas State University, my group and I created a portfolio for our client that represents everything we learned while working with the client.

This portfolio contains complete, data-driven analysis.

Immersive Storytelling

Augmented Reality – Final Project

I took MC 4343 immersive storytelling where I learned about augmented and virtual reality, experienced with 360 video cameras, and created a virtual reality world that was compatible with VR headsets.

This final project was created using Iphone’s “Reality Composer” app.

The AR detects any skin concerns and targets them by suggesting proper ways to treat them and recommending products to use.
